REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in any disciplines with minimum 3.0 CGPA for fresh graduates or
  • Diploma in any disciplines with minimum 3 year working experience or
  • Relevant Professional diploma holders or
  • Relevant Diploma holders or
  • Professional Diploma in Petroleum Facilities Engineering holders or
  • Professional Diploma or Executive Diploma in Plant Technology holders

COURSE DURATION

  • A part-time program - 12 modules and Final Design Project, 20 contact hours and to be completed in 12 to 24 months.
  • 16 weeks per semester and 3 Semesters per year system (Intake February, June and October every year).
  • Course Assessment– Assessment based on Final Exam and the Post Module Assignments, Quizzes, case study papers and Final Project.
  • Lectures are compulsory. However, for distant Learning students have to complete a series of lectures via the net and submitted the post module quizzes.
  • Lecture - Conducted by facilitator and industry experts. Industrial experts are invited to present their respective field of expertise consistent with the program objectives.

They are consist of:

  1. Superintendent, Senior Engineers or specialists from oil services companies, design consultants, oil producers, plant owners, fabricators and technology specialist (Vendor)
  2. Specialist engineers from manufacturers, consultants, oil and gas services companies or researchers

Professional Bachelor Degree Petroleum Facilities Engineering Technology

Petroleum Facilities technology is the facilities engineering technology that applicable to oil and gas industry to explore and extract petroleum from the earth economically and to process petroleum crude to finished products to customers. Petroleum subsurface technology and Facilities technology are the major area of the oil and gas industry technologies. Petroleum Facilities engineering technology which include petroleum production facilities, refineries, gas processing plant and petrochemical complexes are major processing facilities in the oil and gas industry.  Constructing these upstream and downstream facilities require comprehensive understanding and experience in various engineering technology disciplines of the industry’s stringent standard practice and codes. These company standard practices and engineering codes cover feasibility study, engineering design, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the facilities or Processing Plant.

Petroleum Facilities Engineering Technology is the technology management of technical know-how that are required to extract and process petroleum efficiently and effectively.  This program pools together the knowledge and experience of seniors and petroleum professionals from various engineering backgrounds responsible for the exploration, production and processing of the petroleum crude.  These experienced personnel will share their expertise in a structured training program, which will boost participants’ competency and confidence in their respective disciplines.

Although in house training, books and lectures cannot substitute actual working experiences, this program provides the participants with the fundamental skills, knowledge and understanding required for their career advancement in their preferred facilities engineering specialization either based on discipline such as project management, mechanical, piping, process, safety, instrumentation, offshore structure, civil, electrical or based on project progress such as design, fabrication, supplying or installation & commissioning.
